Mid
East was formed in August 2005, the result
of a merger between NLS (Neighbour-Lert-Systems)
and Electrical Maintenance.
NLS
Neighbour
Lert Systems (NLS) was registered in 1990,
initially to cater for the needs of the
Neighbourhood Watch organisation and the
domestic security industry. The company
has subsequently branched out into fire
detection, access control, CCTV, intruder
alarm and monitoring systems for commercial
and corporate clients.
On
entering the fire and security industry,
NLS brought with it, not only highly experienced
and motivated personnel, but also innovative
products. Numerous contracts have been successfully
completed and are serviced, throughout South
Africa and Swaziland.
Electrical
Maintenance
Electrical
Maintenance is a professional electrical
engineering company, registered in 1994.
It services a large range of domestic, commercial
and industrial clients in the electrical
industry market sector and is capable of
providing specialist electrical solutions.
Electrical
Maintenance is a member of Midrand Chamber
of Commerce, Electrical Contractors Association
and the Bargaining Council of Electrical
Contractors. They are also registered with
the Department of Labour and are paid up
members of workmen's compensation.
Mid
East, through the merger, now has the opportunity
to offer a more diverse product and service
assortment, and through economies of scale
provide a more complete value offering to
customers. Combining these two companies
with existing multi million Rand turnovers
creates the opportunity to provide a complete
turnkey solution with regards to Electrical,
Networking, Fire Detection and suppression,
and Security products and services, from
design to installation. Inventory availability
is managed through the NLS Direct Distribution
Centre and Wholesale Outlets, ensuring access
to the latest technological advancements.
The
company provides its' own physical infrastructure
such as vehicles, offices and equipment
as well as an established network of related
suppliers of materials and equipment. This
is an important element of ensuring the
quality of the end product or service.
As
a result of the merger and Government Legislation,
an empowerment plan has been established
for Previously Disadvantaged Individuals,
details of which will follow later in this
document.
Operating
from Midrand, Mid East is accessible to
clients across the Gauteng region. Numerous
national contracts have also been fulfilled
and are currently serviced, so this capability
also exists.
